EMFF, MCA, Seafish Funding
Seafish have obtained funding, through MFF and MCA for experienced commercial fishermen to undertake refresher training on the mandatory courses (Sea Survival, Fire Fighting, First Aid and Safety Awareness) and to also take the enhanced courses, either for the first time or as refreshers. These include Bridge Watchkeeping, Stability, Engine and SRC Radio courses. Funding is available for those working as commercial fishermen who have spent at least 60 days at sea in the last 2 years and who have previously taken all the mandatory courses.
