Abrasive Wheel Course
Do you employ or have self-employed workers that use abrasive wheels (angle grinders, bench grinders, petrol cutters)? If you do then you are obliged to put them through an 'Abrasive Wheels Course'.
Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER)
On this course you will learn the safe pre & post tool checks, how to safely set up the tool, correct PPE usage, how to correct use the tool, safe storage of tools and discs and all the necessary practical skills you will need for their safe operation.
Types of wheel covered:
- Type 1 - Straight sided vitrifed wheels not exceeding 250mm
- Type 27 - Depressed centre reinforced resinoid grinding wheels
- Type 41 - Straight sided reinforced resinoid cut-off wheels
- Type 42 - Depressed centre reinforced resinoid cut--off wheels
The costs of the course is £80 per person on a pre-arranged course in the Eastern region (contact us for details/to arrange)
