Mandatory course required for Commercial fishermen prior to starting work on a commercial fishing vessel
ESTA are offering part funding for New Entrants on Sea Survival courses between 1 July and 31 November 2019. Please contact Simon Bywater for an application form.
Course date 25 September 2019, 9:30 am start
Venue: Pinewood Farm, Shortthorn Road, Stratton Strawless, Norwich , NR10 5NT
Refreshments will be provided.
Course cost is based on payment made in advance. Normal course is £150 if paid on the day or on invoice. ESTA will part fund the course for New Entrants which will mean candidates will only pay £40, paid in advance
This course must be completed prior to going to sea.
1. Understand the principles of sea survival
2. Understand the correct application and usage of sea survival equipment
3. Have developed practical survival skills.
Includes classroom and a practical session in the pool. Those attending the course should bring along a swimming costume/trunks and a towel.
There is a multiple choice test paper at the end of the course.
