Mandatory course required for Commercial fishermen prior to starting work on a commercial fishing vessel
ESTA are offering part funding for New Entrants on Sea Survival courses between 1 July and 31 December 2019. Please contact Simon Bywater for an application form. and to arrange payment

Venue: Sailfish, Bradgate Pool, Bradgate, Elton Park, Off Hadleigh Road, Ipswich, IP2 0DG.

Course cost is based on payment made in advance. Normal course is £150 if paid on the day or on invoice. ESTA will part fund the course for New Entrants into Commercial fishing which will mean candidates will only pay £40, paid in advance
This course must be completed prior to going to sea.
1. Understand the principles of sea survival
2. Understand the correct application and usage of sea survival equipment
3. Have developed practical survival skills.
Includes classroom and a practical session in the pool. Those attending the course should bring along a swimming costume/trunks and a towel.
There is a multiple choice test paper at the end of the course.
